About Steef de Jong
Steef de Jong (1983) is a theater maker, songwriter and visual artist. In his work he likes to explore the boundary between art and kitsch, ratio and sentiment, reality and fantasy, subtle details and large gestures. He is fascinated by the operetta: the unsung stepchild of the opera and the mother of the musical. Steef was trained as a visual artist at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.
